Millaa Millaa

Tropical North Queensland, Australia

Millaa Millaa is a scenic rainforest village on the Tropical Tablelands. Millaa Millaa is easily accessible from Innisfail and Cairns.

The word 'millaa' is aboriginal for 'waterfall and 'Millaa Millaa' means 'many waterfalls'. At 900 metres above sea level, Millaa Millaa enjoys a cooler mountain climate than coastal districts and a high rainfall.

Millaa Millaa is part of the Waterfall and Crater Lakes district, which also includes Malanda and Yungaburra.

The nearest fully serviced town is Atherton and there is a scenic drive between Millaa Millaa and Ravenshoe via the Millaa Millaa Lookout and famous Windy Hill Windmills.
