Charity events for Typhoon Morakot victims

morakThe grassroot efforts in Taiwan to raise relief funds for victims of the Aug. 9 Typhoon Morakot have been PHENOMENAL. The following lists upcoming events to aid in the coordination of this drive.
— Trista di Genova

Typhoon Morakot devastated large portions of central and southern Taiwan causing incredible suffering to many people.

French Government provided financial support to Taiwan Government and we know that French companies located in Taiwan already offered support to help the victims.

In order to coordinate these efforts together with IFT, we will appreciate, to know if your company is willing to participate, or has already provided support (financial, personnel, material, equipment…) to any organization (Red Cross…), please let us know your position by 1st September 2009, and reply to Ms. Melanie LIANG at pr@ccift.org.tw

In the meantime, we would like to make an appeal to all members and friends of CCIFT to participate in this meaningful event organized by the Community Services Centre on 5th September 2009. For more information, please refer to the message below.
Best Regards, Jean-Louis MORAUD
CCIFT President
