We are pleased to announce Taichung’s first annual Canada Day Fair being held on July 2nd 2011 at the Chung Jen Park and Community Center

The atmosphere will be reminiscent of an old style Canadian County fair with lots of fun activities for families and children throughout the day between 2pm and 8pm. There will be live outdoor music in the on-site gazebo performed by Canadian Pat Reid and h…is Voyageurs, they will be playing a wide spectrum of Canadian music throughout the afternoon. Also performing will be Canadian Nick Fothergill doing originals and some classic canadian songs.

There will food for sale as well as beer and mixed drinks and there will be a variety of arts and crafts tents.

The evening festivities commence at 9pm and will be held indoors at the adjacent community center. There will be an opening performance by the vocal/guitar duo Bailey and Goode followed by Wailin’ Soul, one of Taiwan’s most energetic foreign party bands.
There will be a $300 door charge for the indoor party which includes one beverage. Come on out and let your hair down, it is going to be a great party!! Thanks for supporting live music!

Our goal is to bring a glimps of Canadian culture to share with the local community and also to offer a piece of home to the many Canadians working in Taichung
